"I'm like what's going on? I just seen yellow tape and a whole bunch of red, blue and white," Williams said.

Jackson added: "Police [were] everywhere. They say they found 29 bullets."

"My life was in danger that's why I ran straight in the house," Williams said.

Police said all of the victims are doing okay and will recover.

TPD should be looking for gang activity instead of focusing on catching people with marijuana. Pot isn't going around shooting innocent people.

Neither are guns. But you see how much attention they get. Anything it takes to avoid addressing the real problem: Morality. Or more accurately the lack of morality taught by the parents. Oh wait, excuse me; the babymommas and babydaddies.

Come on - everyone knows Holton is a rough street, and there are quite a few others, but that doesn't mean the entire south side is like this. And not everyone living in housing projects are violent thugs. This story does indeed sound like some type of gang or drug issue, or both!

Right. Some of the poeple who live in these projects are elderly. I doubt they are thugs.

They should have a curfew in this city. If you're under 18, not going to or from work or school you need to be HOME after 9 p.m. Yeah, I know, that's a parental responsibility, but obviously some of these parents are slacking off. Perhaps if the parents of these wannabe gangsters had to spend more time with them, they'd invest more time and effort to raise them better!

You are correct but you speak of isolated instances.....the big difference is that certain part of society commits an over proportional amount of crime and vilence...If you cannot se this then you are just part of the problem.....No one wants to name the problem, just go ahead and call me names...Yes, that will solve a lot of the problem. Start thinking!

remember when the last 9 out of 10 crimes committed in this town was by black guys?? You are being too obvious that you are tired of people blaming the crime in this town on black people. The reality of it is that they do and the community needs to step in and help stop it. You say how?? You know how, someone in that neighborhood knows who did the shooting but refuse to say anything. Until that changes you will have these issues. Protect your own right...not the community...not your race! Crime is everywhere and committed by al races but there is an undeniable link in this town between crime and black people on the southside. Oh yeah, I forgot, they are still fighting the Civil War and no one told them it was over.

I really resent tax payer money being wasted investigating this event. It is counter to the best interests of the community as a whole.

I would feel better if tax payer money was used to build a fence around them. They could play their war games within the fence and kill themselves off. I think that would be a quality investment.

Are we surprised...Holton St is one of the worst areas in town. Need to go through and clean up the neighborhood down there and get rid of the trash. Of course, the entire southside is that way...why do you think Proctor lives up on the rich north side...the side of town he hates so much.

I live on the southside and you are dead wrong about the condition of all of the southside. There are many nice houses on the southside, and I live in one of them. Judging from your narrow and racist mind, I bet you my house is nicer than yours - ignoramus.
