Tallahassee, Florida - 6-13

On Friday June 10, 2011 members of the Tallahassee Police Department’s Community Policing Unit (COPPS) were responding to neighborhood complaints of illegal drug sales in the area of Holton and Osceola Streets, in the Bond Neighborhood. An individual, later determined to be Terrance Lindsay, was observed in possession of a large quantity of DVDs and was selling them to other individuals in the area. After some time, Lindsay entered a vehicle and drove out of the area. He was then contacted by officers and found to be in possession of 180 DVDs including several popular movie titles, which had been copied. Officers verified the DVDs did contain movies and the DVDs were impounded as evidence. The subject was arrested and transported to the Leon County Jail.

Terrance Lindsay, black male, 8/22/1979

check out the flea market, we bought a bootleg movie for our kid, not knowing it was a fake. I found that you can tell by the logos on the movie case, they use the bar code from another movie and print the picture on the paper but this time they forgot to change the movie name right above the scanner part. The DVD and disney logos are fake too...

KF, and DTH: You have problems! You are out-of-control. You suggest nothing is wrong. Show all-of-us! Teach us why it is okay to pirate a dvd? I will be waiting! Show me! I am patient, but not forever!

Wait until the MPAA gets done with you. at $30,000 a piece that comes to a $54,000,000 payday for the MPAA just for copyright infringement.

I did not set the limit for the copyright infringement. In reality (where I live) it is the MPAA and the RIAA that go after these guys, not me.

TAKE HIS VEHICLE AND AUCTION IT OFF: We need to teach those Driving on a Suspended or Revoked License that they are NOT supposed to be Driving. Even if the Vehicle is NOT His, Take it and Auction it off anyway. That will teach the Owner never to let anyone else Drive their Vehicle.
