UPDATED 5-25-2010 - 6:25pm by Julie Montanaro

A landscaping crew found itself right in the middle of the robbers' run from the law.

Johnny Reed was using a weed whacker on the side of the bank. He said he saw two young men running and figured perhaps they were going to class or forgot something, but he soon realized the men had robbed the bank.

"I seen the older and the taller young guy running," Reed said, "So when he came by, that's when I seen he had a stack of money from here to about right here, bending over, holding it and running."

Chris Melton was working nearby too.

"The first one dropped the knife and the second one went to pick it up and the guy from the bank came out and yelled something. I was wearing headphones so I couldn't hear it," Melton said.

A police k-9 tracked the men's trail down High Road and a helicopter searched for them from above. Neither had any luck.

Tallahassee Police have released the following suspect descriptions:

Suspect 1: black man, 5'7-6', early 20's, 150-180 pounds

Suspect 2 black man, 5'7" - 6', 20-30 years old, 150-180 pounds.

Both men were also wearing ball caps during the robbery.

A landscaper using a weed whacker outside says the men ran right by him. One of the men was bent over and carrying an armful of money, he said. Another landscaper says he saw one of the men drop a knife in the grass and started back to get it, but someone from the bank came out and yelled for him to stop, so he took off.

Two men wearing all black and sunglasses robbed the Capital City Bank on the corner of High Road and Tennessee Street around 10:30 Tuesday.

The men ran north on High Road and a police canine tried to track them but was not successful.

Police are guarding a knife which the robbers may have dropped in the grass as they ran away.

The only description available right now is two black men, wearing all black and sunglasses. One of the men had shoulder length dread locks.

We will bring you more details as soon as it becomes available.

Why does he look like a drug user? All the typical "drug-user" indicators are not present - no blood-shot eyes, no drool, no bags of meth hanging out of his pockets. So do the rest of the world a favor and find another venue to make yourself feel better than others.
