Members of the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit went undercover June 29 to arrest an 18-year-old Tallahassee man in connection with the possession and sale of crack cocaine and marijuana, according to Sheriff Donnie Crum.
Xavion Deandre Jackson was arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to sell; distribution of cocaine, resisting an officer without violence; sale of marijuana; and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
Contact was made with Jackson at a Crawfordville location and the illegal narcotics were sold by the suspect. Undercover WCSO deputies surrounded the vehicle to make their arrest. The suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. The cash from the transaction was dropped by the suspect and later recovered by WCSO detectives.
The suspect was captured after a brief foot pursuit and deployment of a Taser. The cocaine and marijuana was recovered by the undercover unit. Two females that accompanied Jackson in the vehicle were interviewed and released without charges at this time.
The crack cocaine weighed 1.3 grams and the recovered marijuana weighed 4.1 grams. The narcotics were turned over to the WCSO Evidence Division. Jackson remains in the Wakulla County Jail under a $25,500 bond.
