Press Release: Valdosta Police Department

On March 14, 2013 at approximately 2:41 p.m., the Valdosta Police Department received a call in reference to a citizen reporting three suspicious males at 915 Worth Avenue.

Officers from the Valdosta Police Department and Deputies from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Asa Balloon, Jamarcus Thomas, and Demitrius Thompson were all found inside the residence and arrested.

Thompson was able to escape and ran to 1718 Northside Drive where he entered apartment A-1 to hide, but was found and apprehended a short time later. All three were transported to the Lowndes County Jail. Balloon, Thomas, and Thompson have all been charged with Burglary for the residence on Worth Ave.

Thompson was also charged with Escape, Giving False Information, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, and Criminal Trespassing for entering the apartment on Northside Drive. No further information is available at this time.
