Traffic Infraction Leads to Hydrocodone Bust

On 12-19-2010 Officers with the Marianna Police Department observed a grey Ford Ranger traveling South on Penn. Ave.. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic infraction. Officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle identified as Ronald Wayne Henderson. The vehicle was seen leaving a known narcotics area of off Penn Ave. Officers asked if Henderson had any narcotics or weapons in the vehicle in which he replied that he did not. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and Officers located a sandwich bag containing several hydrocodone pills in a void in the dashboard of the vehicle. Henderson was then taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

Subject of Release: Narcotics Arrest
Arrestee: Ronald Wayne Henderson W/M 40yoa 2661 Rowell Road Cottondale, Florida
Charge: Possession of a controlled substance (felony, hydrocodone)

    drug agent,it's called freedom of press,stupid.And nobody made this guy look like a bad guy,they just told what happened.If anybody made him look like a bad guy it was himself.

    tony-yea i know. the $3 huffy bike ridershas more wrights than you. first of all why is it a drug infested neiborhood.isn't this a public highway that my tax dollars paid for. the bad people in this country are hard working people with a job with money to pay fines and probation fees.

    why does everyone that gets caught with a small amount of drugs have to be put on the newsand paper and to be made out to be the worst person in the world. i dont know what to think og this great little country anymore. did you people see 60 minutes last night. americais going to fall in the slumbs SOON. the money is runeing out. people are going to start starveing to death. no jobs. and these idiots are worried about a few pills. it isall about how much money they can take from the citizens for their job security.

    Exactly what was the probable cause? So if I drive past a so called known drug neighborhood I will be pulled over and searched as well?
