Tallahassee, Florida - July 14, 2011

Tallahassee Police officers have responded to numerous calls throughout the community related to theft of metal from air conditioners, wire from construction sites, and most recently back flow preventers from water lines. Back flow preventers ensure waste water does not re-enter the clean water supply.

Probable cause was developed related to two recent back flow preventer thefts and subsequent sales to local scrap yards. Davis and Mitchell were located and arrested yesterday afternoon. Additional related charges are pending for both Mitchell and Davis.

Arrested: Donald Mitchell – 31 year-old black male

Arrested Willie Davis – 31 year-old black male
