Tifton, GA -- A Valdosta school worker is facing 14 charges after detectives say he had inappropriate contact with a child under 16-years-old in Tifton.
60-year-old Michael Kent Thompson was employed with the Valdosta City School System when officers say he had contact with the child. He was not a teacher.
Details are limited at this time, but investigators say the incident was reported to the Tifton Police Department on December 9th, and Kent was arrested December 12th.
Among the 14 charges he's facing are aggravated child molestation, solicitation of sodomy and aggravated sexual battery.
