TPD says the driver of the black Mazda that rear ended the StarMetro bus is Ashley Messingschlager.

The 21-year-old was taken to Tallahassee Memorial after the crash.

Eyewitness News has learned that a StarMetro bus and a car have been involved in an accident, according to the Tallahassee Police Department. The accident occurred at around 8:20am at the intersection of Tennessee Street and Columbia Drive

The bus was stopped at a bus stop to pick up riders when a person driving a car rear-ended the bus. Police say the driver was going about 35 to 45 mph. Police think the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time and was knocked unconscious by the impact of the collision. The bus driver and 4 passengers were taken to Tallahassee Memorial for "precautionary" measures.

Drivers are advised to expect delays in the area.
