Cars were stopped for construction on Highway 20 in front of the Fort Braden Community Center when LCSO says the driver of a van rear ended a Fed Ex truck and caused a chain reaction crash.

An LCSO spokesman says the Dodge Caravan struck the Fed Ex truck, which struck a Dodge pick up which in turn struck a Buick LeSabre.

The 17-year-old driver of the van was placed on a back board and put in an ambulance.

The driver of the pick up was sent to the hospital to be checked out too. His mother said his head snapped back so hard it busted out the back window.

An LCSO spokesman says neither driver had life threatening injuries. He says the driver of the van will be cited for careless driving.

Leon County Sheriff’s Office and Tallahassee Fire Department are at the scene of a 4-car-crash in front of Fort Braden Community Center.

At least two people have been taken to the hospital; we don’t know the extent of the injuries at this time.

Blountstown Highway is closed at Joe Thomas; it is advised that drivers avoid this area.

We have a reporter at the scene and will bring you updates as they become available.
