FHP: Fatal Accident in Jefferson County

FHP releases official traffic report (see attached pdf above). Logan Dean Dageforde, 21, from Prattville, Alabama has been identified as the fatality in the accident that caused I-10 eastbound traffic to be stopped for awhile.


UPDATE 8-31--2011

At least one person is dead after an early evening accident on I-10 in Jefferson County.

According to the FHP website, The accident took place around 4:30 this afternoon at mile marker 231. The video shows a red four door sedan involved in the wreck..

No explanation has been given to explain how the accident happened, roads were slick and conditions were less than ideal.

No word yet on the driver of the car--we'll keep you posted on the very latest as soon as the name of the person that died is released.


UPDATE 8-31-2011 6:20pm

Traffic on I-10 eastbound is backed up for miles as a fatal accident caused all eastbound lanes to be closed down.

One of those lanes has just reopened but traffic is proceeding slowly.

All eastbound lanes on I-10 are closed at the moment as crews continue to clean up a fatal accident near mile marker 233 on I-10.


Jefferson County, FL -- August 31, 2011 --

The Florida Highway Patrol website is reporting at least one person dead in a Jefferson County accident. It happened onI-10 eastbound mile marker 233. East bound lanes in that area are currently blocked.

Few details have been released on the accident, but WCTV has a crew on the way to the scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
