The Florida Highway Patrol reports a possible traffic fatality in Jefferson County. The accident happened around 10:38pm on June 3rd near 229 Upper Cody Road.

Renee Clark, 33, of Monticello, Florida, was traveling westbound on Upper Cody Road at an unsafe speed in her 2004 Trailblazer, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol. Clark crossed over a wooden bridge and began to lose control her vehicle. The vehicle traveled to the southern edge of the roadway and began to rotate clockwise, then began to travel in a northwesterly direction and exited the roadway on the north shoulder. The front of Clark's vehicle collided with a tree and rotated clockwise striking a second tree with its left side. The vehicle came to final rest facing in a northwesterly direction.

Strikes me that the WCTV comment blog is a peculiar place to spend your grieving time. Here's hoping that your sister enjoys a speedy recovery from her injuries and from the irresponsible and criminal behavior that could have injured or killed innocent people. And BTW, I doubt driving drunk is an especially effective way to ingratiate ones self to Gawd.

I am amazed that Renee feels well enough to post comments. Sounds like a bunch of trashy folks.

I'm sorry but you're not going to get much sympathy from us. Drinking and driving is irresponsible behavior and not just a 'mistake'. She's lucky she didn't kill anyone.

I agree. Melissa you're not getting any sympathy from me. Renee is still living and there are no many others that has been killed by drunk drivers and they were innocent. Renee and her family needs to thank God for keeping her. Not everyone gets a second chance in life!

have you ever lost control of a vehicle before?? guess not seeing though you don't understand that when a vehicle loses control you most likely go into a spin especially on an old back country road.

True, but it's much easier to not lose control of a vehicle if you're sober!

yes I have and it was not unsafe speed or alcohol was a factor it was because of rain on the road all I'm saying is you don't drink and drive

If you lost control it was not because of the rain on the road, it was because you were driving TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS (an unsafe speed).

Sage is right. Anyone who has ever lost control of their vehicle was driving too fast for conditions and their ability; or driving to fast for their ability under those conditions.

Yes I have but it was not by unsafe speed or driving under the influence it was because of rain or the road being slipper
  • by family member on Jun 4, 2012 at 01:42 PM
First off everyone, whether alcohol was involved or not this is still someones family member.
