Suwannee County, Florida - Feb. 14, 2012 -

An unidentified person from Airville, PA was driving on I-75 in Suwannee County on Feb. 13th when they crashed into a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The person was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver was traveling north on Interstate-75 in a 1995 Dodge Ram truck in the outside travel lane. The truck exited the roadway and drove onto the northbound grassy shoulder. The truck continued traveling north down the sloped embankment toward the border fence and adjacent tree line on the east side of the roadway. The front of the truck then struck the border fence, continued northbound, and struck a large tree with its right front. The truck then overturned and came to final rest on its left side facing southwest.

The driver of truck was pronounced deceased at the scene of this collision by attending Columbia County EMS personnel.

Identification of the person involved in the accident is pending the notification of the next of kin.
