Centerville Road is now open and traffic is flowing normally.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle crash with injuries on Centerville Road near the intersection of Pine Ridge Road. A gray truck struck a power pole. The LCSO response was terrible! They failed to turn traffic at the Shamrock entrance to Killearn. This resulted in cars travelling down Centerville all the way to the problem area, then having to do a round-a-bout of about a mile on a side road, only to then go back out Centerville for several miles to Shamrock. Alerting motorists at Shamrock would have saved drivers about six miles. A deputy at the scene could have handled the few cars that entered Centerville between Shamrock and the utility crews. LCSO created a traffic nightmare and ill will instead of performing a public service. Maybe they were protesting the proposed pension cuts !!??
