Tallahassee, Florida - April 17, 2012 -
On April 16, 2012 at approximately 9:56 pm, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single car crash near the intersection of Capital Circle North West and North Monroe Street. Deputies arrived and discovered that 20 year old Steven Badinga was critically injured. Badinga was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare with life-threatening injuries.
LCSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit responded to the scene, conducted witness interviews and began the process of reconstructing the crash scene and collecting forensic evidence. The preliminary
investigation indicates that Badinga’s 2009 Toyota four door was traveling north on Capital Circle near the intersection of North Monroe Street. The Toyota crossed into the south bound lane of Capital
Circle, left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle then flipped several times, ejecting Badinga.
This investigation is continuing and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
