Logging Truck Rolls Over on Highway 41

Lake Park, Georgia - October 20, 2011 -

A logging truck was going too fast and rolled over on Highway 41 in Lake Park, Georgia, according to the Lake Park Police Chief. The logging truck was carrying a full load of logs earlier this morning when it rolled over, causing the load to crash into the street.

Crews are on the scene clearing up the debris. Lake Park Police say the area will be cleared around noon today. LPPD says the driver is currently at the hospital, however, his injuries are unknown at this time.

LPPD says that the driver will be facing charges related to the incident.

    This should come as no surprise. Those logging trucks barrel down the roads at faster than posted speed limit always!!! They make more money if they move more loads. Remove that incentive and they will slow down.
