UPDATE 11-14-2011

The Florida Highway Patrol has released the incident report surrounding a Sunday evening accident.

FHP Lt. David Folsom confirmed to WCTV that James Forrest, 56, was sent to South Georgia Medical Center for treatment of his serious injuries, and Tena Forrest, 49, was airlifted from the scene to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida where she succumbed to her injuries.

Madison County, FL -- November 13, 2011

A motorcycle crash sent two to the hospital with severe injuries. It happened just after 6 PM across U.S. Highway 90 west of Madison. The bike crashed into a deer running across the highway. No names of the victims have been released as of yet. One victim is a male and the other a female. The two riders survived the impact with injuries.

A car coming east on the highway an over the female trapping her under the vehicle. Three witnesses lifted the vehicle off the female victim so EMS could provide immediate care. A helicopter flew her to a trauma center. An ambulance rushed the male victim to another hospital.

Madison Fire Rescue, Greenville Fire Rescue, Madison Sheriff's Office, Madison County EMS and the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene. FHP is investigating.
