Madison County, Florida - April 27, 2012 -

Two people were killed in a single car crash on Interstate 10, just east of the US 221 exit., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident happened around 3:12am on April 27th.

A 1997 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 east of the US 221 exit. For no apparent reason, the vehicle veered
off of the roadway onto the south shoulder rotating clockwise. While rotating on the south shoulder, the vehicle overturned several times and then came to rest upright in the tree line on the south shoulder.

The driver, Hector Garcia, 67, is listed in critical condition at TMH, while the two passengers, Felicitas Valdez, 50, and Manuel Valdez, 56, were pronounced dead on the scene.

Seatbelt usage for the passengers is pending further investigation.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office. Madison County EMS, Madison County Fire Department, and the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department assisted the Florida Highway Patrol at this crash scene.

Charges are pending.
