Wakulla County Fire and Emergency Services Release

Crawfordville, FL – Wakulla County Fire Rescue and Wakulla EMS responded to a report of a traffic accident at Bloxham Cut Off (SR 267) and Lonnie Raker Rd at 11:17 a.m. Tuesday.

Two WCSO Deputies were located in front of the River Sink Elementary School witnessed the accident and summoned assistance from Fire and EMS units. A westbound four door sedan was struck by a southbound motor home pulling another vehicle on a trailer.

The driver of the passenger car was able to exit the vehicle on his own and refused treatment from EMS. He advised he would go to the hospital with a friend to seek treatment. The passenger was trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters had to use hydraulic rescue tools to free the male who was then transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. The extrication process took approximately ten minutes to free the passenger.

The two occupants of the motor home denied injury. They were traveling through Wakulla County from Tennessee.
