News Release: Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
Chipley - Geotechnical survey crews will perform pavement testing along State Road (S.R.) 8 (I-10) in Leon and Jefferson counties Tuesday, Nov. 12 through Thursday, Nov. 14.
This will be a slow moving operation with frequent stops. Traffic will encounter minor traffic delays from the Leon County line near mile marker 193 east to County Road 158 near mile marker 219 and from east of U.S. 19 near mile marker 225 to the Madison County line near mile marker 233. Lane closures will remain in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Crews will also perform pavement testing Tuesday, Nov. 12, on a section of U.S. 319 between the New Light Church Road and S.R. 267. Alternating lane closures will occur from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists are reminded to watch for traffic flaggers, pay attention to the speed limit when traveling through the construction area, and to use caution when driving in work zones.
