Chipley, FL – Emergency repairs to the CSX railroad bridge spanning U.S. 90 (State Road 10) east of Blountstown Highway (State Road 20) will result overnight closures of westbound U.S. 90 from Tuesday, June 4 to Wednesday, June 12.

The westbound lanes of U.S. 90 will be closed from Blountstown Highway to Pat Thomas Boulevard from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Westbound traffic will be diverted over to eastbound U.S. 90 at Blountstown Highway and will transition back to the westbound lanes at Pat Thomas Boulevard. Law enforcement will be on site to assist with traffic control.

The CSX railroad bridge poses no danger to the traveling public on U.S. 90 but until repairs are complete, rail traffic will be suspended.

Construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists, pedestrian and bicyclists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone and to watch for construction equipment and workers entering and exiting the roadway.
