News Release: City of Valdosta
The City of Valdosta will be cleaning and televising the sewer main located at the intersection of S. Oak Street and W. Hill Avenue on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 starting at 10 a.m. During the repairs, the south end of the intersection on S. Oak Street will be closed in both directions, and traffic will be detoured via Toombs Street. The project is expected to be completed by 1 p.m. later that day, weather permitting.
The purpose of the sewer main cleaning and televising is to remove debris and materials that have settled in the main restricting the flow and to locate sewer service laterals. The city equipment will be placed in the roadway and traffic devices will be in place to detour traffic around the work zone.
