Tallahassee, FL -- June 12, 2012 --
Blueprint 2000 announces the closure of Park Avenue at the Franklin Boulevard intersection. The closure will begin at 7:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 and will continue until 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012. The road closure is needed to continue the installation of the stormwater box culvert.
Westbound traffic on Park Avenue east of Magnolia Drive will be detoured north onto Magnolia Drive and then west onto East Tennessee Street, then south onto Calhoun Street to Park Avenue. Eastbound traffic on Park Avenue will be detoured south onto Calhoun Street, and then east onto Jefferson Street, then north onto Crest Street to Park Avenue. Local traffic on Park Avenue between Franklin Boulevard and Magnolia Drive will be allowed to access Crest Street south, then west on Jefferson Street, then north on Gadsden Street to Park Avenue.
All residences and businesses will have access to their property for the duration of the closure. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists around the closure using adjacent streets. Attached and enclosed is a map of the detour route.
