Tallahassee, FL - TPD held its annual law enforcement memorial at police headquarters Tuesday morning.

Officers and family members held a moment of silence, and the police chief laid down the memorial wreath.

Five law enforcement officers with the department have died in the line of duty between 1981 and 2009.

Joe West, the son-in-law of one of the officers honored (SGT Warren Gay), says, "It's very important, I think, to the families to know they're not forgotten by the people of Tallahassee or the police department."
