On Monday, January 17, 2011, beginning at 9:30AM, in an effort to keep participants safe during the commemorative service for Reverend C.K. Steele and the Martin Luther King, Jr. March, the Tallahassee Police Department will limit vehicle traffic along West Tennessee Street and Adams Street. Motorists not attending these events are encouraged to seek alternate routes in an effort to avoid delays.
The following streets will be closed:
Adams Street between Tennessee Street and Call Street will be closed from
Adams Street between Call Street and Jefferson Street will be closed from
Duval Street between Gaines Street and Pensacola Street will be closed from
The commemorative service for Reverend C.K. Steele at C.K. Steele Plaza is scheduled to begin 10:00AM. The Martin Luther King, Jr. March is scheduled to begin at 10:40AM, with the roadways returning to normal traffic flow at approximately 1:00PM.
