TPD on Scene of a Hit and Run in Tallahassee

TPD tells WCTV that they are seeking a person for a hit and run accident that left a pedestrian with minor injuries.

Officers say the accident happened Friday evening, when a dark SUV, possibly a Ford Expedition, was traveling north on Duval Street and turned left onto Pensacola Street. A pedestrian was crossing at the time and was struck on their left side.

Officers say the driver got out of the car to check on the struck person, but then hopped back into the vehicle and fled the scene.

Officers says the SUV they are looking for would have a damaged left bumper. There is a suspect description for the driver. He is described as a black male in his late 20's wearing jeans and baseball cap.

No names have been released and we will bring more information as t becomes available.


Tallahassee, FL - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident that happened Friday evening around 7:30 pm.

Few details are available at this time, but TPD is on scene of the accident near South Duval Street and Pensacola Street.
