Temporary Closure of Call Street Between Meridian and Cadiz

Tallahassee,Florida- August 17, 2012

Blueprint 2000 announces the closure of Call Street between Meridian Street and Cadiz Street. The closure will begin at 7:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, and will continue until 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2012.

The road closure is needed to continue the box culvert installation and associated road work as part of the Franklin Boulevard Flood Relief Project. Eastbound through traffic on Call Street will be detoured to Meridian Street, Park Avenue, Cadiz Street and then back to Call Street. Westbound through traffic on Call Street will be detoured to Cadiz Street, Park Avenue, Meridian Street, and then back to Call Street.

The Call Street/Franklin Boulevard intersection will not be closed until the Park Avenue/Franklin Boulevard intersection is opened. All residences and businesses will have access to their properties for the duration of the closure. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists around the closure using adjacent streets.
