Temporary Closure of Calhoun Street for Operation Thank You

WHAT: Temporary Closure of Calhoun Street between Apalachee Parkway and E. Madison St. for Operation Thank You
WHEN: Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE: Calhoun Street between Apalachee Parkway and E. Madison St.
Calhoun Street between Apalachee Parkway and E. Madison Street will be closed Saturday, March 30 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Operation Thank You Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans event. Traffic headed south on Calhoun St. will be detoured west onto Apalachee Parkway then south onto S. Monroe Street. Northbound traffic on Calhoun Street will be detoured west onto E. Madison St. then north onto S. Monroe St. to Apalachee Parkway.
Operation Thank You is a community event that will honor and properly welcome our Vietnam veterans. The celebration will take place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the corner of South Monroe St. and Apalachee Parkway at 8:30 a.m.
All necessary detour signs and temporary traffic control devices will be installed and maintained on Apalachee Parkway, Calhoun St., S. Monroe St., E. Madison Street and Gadsden Street. Two Variable Message Boards will be installed on Calhoun Street and one on Apalachee Parkway.
The parking garage on S. Monroe St. and Madison St. will be available for free parking for those attending the Operation Thank You Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans event. Signs will be placed along the roads to direct the public to the parking location.
