Traffic Signal Outage Rescheduled

The traffic signal outage planned for the intersection of Tennessee Street and High Road has been rescheduled. It will take place overnight starting at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21. The work is expected to last 2-3 hours, and TPD officers will direct traffic. Crews will be replacing the traffic control cabinet at the intersection.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and obey all directions given by TPD officers. Using alternate routes is suggested. For traffic updates, please follow COTTraffic on Twitter.

Over the weekend, lightning strikes caused damage to traffic control cabinets at the intersections of Tennessee and Monroe streets and Tennessee Street and High Road. Crews will be replacing the cabinets Tuesday, August 20, and Wednesday, August 21.

Tomorrow at 9 a.m., the traffic signals at the Tennessee/Monroe intersection will not be operational. The outage is expected to last 4-5 hours. Tallahassee Police Department officers will direct traffic during this time.

The following day at 9 a.m., the traffic signals at the Tennessee/High intersection will not be operational. Again, the work is expected to last 4-5 hours, and TPD officers will direct traffic.
