Tallahassee, FL -- April 30, 2012 --

Blueprint 2000 announces the closure of Franklin Boulevard from south of Park Avenue to north of Pensacola Street. The closure will begin at 7:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, and will continue until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2012. The road closure is needed to continue the box culvert installation on Franklin Boulevard.

Southbound through traffic on Franklin Boulevard will be detoured to Park Avenue while the northbound through traffic will be detoured to Pensacola Street. It is planned to have the intersection at Franklin Boulevard and Jefferson Street opened after May 18th, so the eastbound and westbound traffic on Jefferson Street can cross Franklin Boulevard. In addition, the intersection at Franklin Boulevard and College Avenue is planned to open after May 21st, so the eastbound and westbound traffic on College Avenue can cross Franklin Boulevard.

All residences and businesses will have access to their property for the duration of the closure. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists around the closure using adjacent streets.
