Tallahassee, FL -- August 17, 2011 --

Southbound traffic has been slowed to crawl on North Monroe Street in Tallahassee. Leon County Sheriff's Office is cleaning up an accident between a pick up truck and a motorcycle earlier Wednesday afternoon. Traffic on southbound North Monroe has been reduced to one lane at the scene of the accident.

Deputies say that a black Chevrolet pick up pulled out of Envision Credit Union (1368 N. Monroe) when that vehicle clipped a red motorcycle that was traveling southbound on North Monroe.

Ambulance picked up the motorcycle driver and have transported him to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital to get treated for injuries.

Glad this guy is OK! I got my bike run over while stopped at a stop sign on Monday. Thankfully, I got off without a bike however, is a loss. Be careful out there.

The motorcycle rider is my cousins husband. He is VERY lucky!! Everyone PLEASE slow down and watch out for motorcyle riders. They have as much right on the road as you do. This could have been a tragedy. I just thank God my cousins husband is ok.

Does anyone know who this was? Or what kind or color of motorcycle it was? Motorcycle community is panic stricken wondering if its any of our friends, of course we are concerned regardless of who but still not knowing is still rather crappy!

hate to say it but people pull out and make the responsibility of the people who have the right of way to slow or move over. Happens to me all the time. wish i had an old car sometimes so when they pull out i could just keep on going.

Yet Another accident involving a pick up truck. They should stop allowing you Floridians to take your driving exams online. Not too many of you can drive in the first place let alone ANYONE driving a pick up truck, and I'm going to guess that it was a young male in the pick up truck but if I'm wrong then oh well they still don't know how to drive, especially those in pick up trucks. Let's cut to the chase and just start calling them "get the heck out of my way I'm reckless and don't care trucks".

I drive a pickup and have never had an accident. what does your type of vehicle have to do with driving skills? NOTHING!!! it's the idiots behind the wheel who cause accidents...whether it's a truck, car, or van

Word. What kind of vehicle you drive has absolutely no revelance. How you drive your vehicle, on the other hand may be the difference between yours, and/or someone else's life or death.

Well, actually, what you drive must be worth tracking or the US Census Bureau wouldn't go to so much trouble ( So let's see... according to the evidence, pick-ups accounted for 1,489 fatal accidents in 2008. OMG!!! WE MUST BAN PICK-UP TRU... Oops, wait a second. Passenger vehicles accounted for 5,575 fatalities. Uh, never mind!

Maybe we should stop letting 'you females' stop gettin dem there drivers licenses period. You have no idea who was behind the wheel. It could have been a woman, a teen, an elderly, a cop, YOUR MOM, YOUR DAD, you show your grand intelligence.....not saying the PERSON was in the right, but unfortunately....ACCIDENTS HAPPEN. God forbid nothing ever happen to you, since apparently you MUST be PERFECT!

@mooshoo: I passed this area about the time a person was being loaded into the EMT vehicle and I'm happy this ACCIDENT involved no fatalities. You on the other hand, want to "profile" the "you Floridians" which indicates to me YOU are not from Florida, but I AM, so take your transplant snot-nose attitude back where you belong if you don't approve and want to tell US about this state.
