Segment between Easterwood Dr. and Railroad Tracks - Weems Road between Easterwood Drive and the CSX Railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday, Nov. 14, at 9 a.m. The detour route using Mahan Drive and Capital Circle Northeast will be clearly posted. Advance warning signs are currently in place to remind motorists of the closure. The City has notified all local public safety agencies and transportation officials with Leon County Schools of the closure. The road is being closed to allow City Electric crews to relocate lines prior to completing the construction of the first phase of Weems Road improvements. Weather permitting, Weems Road should be reopened to traffic by 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20.
