A very graphic anti abortion display at Oglesby Union compares abortion to historical genocide. The exhibit creator, the Center for Bio Ethical Reform says abortion relates to the definition of genocide. It also says it targets students because they are the future leaders and decision makers. But some were offended by the gruesome images.
One student said, "No matter what, having a child is a risky procedure. It's a risky thing to do because many things can happen and so you should be able to have control over what happens to your body."
Mark Harrington with the Center for Bio Ethical Reform said, "You don't believe that the unborn are persons. Well, that's what they said about the Jews, that's what they said about the African Americans, right? It's the same argument just being lived out here in America."
The exhibit called the Genocide Awareness Project tours public universities throughout the country.
