Ortiz formally announced his campaign Tuesday afternoon. He says one of the main messages of his campaign is a "grassroots effort and free of special interest." Ortiz is recruiting volunteers and he has decided to take a non-traditional approach to gain support.
At his speech he said, "While some argue that special interests are sometimes in the interest of the people. The people as individuals have been left out in the process."
Robert Ortiz is currently a professor of American History and Political Science at Keiser University. His first goal as a candidate is to get on the ballot by getting enough qualifying signatures. If you would like know more about Robert Ortiz or his campaign, just click the link below.
