Obama Apologizes for "Bitter" Comment

Steelton, PA (AP)_Presidential hopeful Barack Obama fires back at Senator Hillary Clinton during a rally at a United Steel Workers union hall in southeastern Pennsylvania Sunday.

The Associated Press says Clinton says Obama seemed out of touch and elitist when he referred to people in small town Pennsylvania as clingy to their guns, religion and anti-immigrant sentiment because government hasn't served them.

Obama apologized to anyone who was offended by the comment, but during the rally in Steelton Obama lashed out at Clinton saying repeatedly, "She knows better," and "Shame on her."

Obama questioned her commitment, saying that her comments were politics at work and that she was trying to appear like "Annie Oakley."

Annie Oakley, of course, was one of the Old West's greatest sharp shooters.

No Awms, I am certainly not stooping to 3rd grade antics. Rev Wright spoke the truth as he perceives it from a very narrow perspective. America does so much for so many around the World but gets no credit. The world would truly be a very dark and scary place to live with out the grand old USA.

Serious....come on come on...now, seriously, at some point you will have to speak on my level my fellow American...LOL I can't believe you'd stoop to 3rd grade antics, wait, wait yes I can, your recent comments were somewhat shallow. Rev.Wright spoke the truth and America has been sweeping truth under the rug for far to long. The truth will set us free. We must address problems in order to make America better. Who in the their sane mind would love the condition of America now? We are far from loveable and need change. What’s the uproar concerning the flag, pleasseeee even if you tattoo the flag on your body it wouldn't mean you truly honor in your heart what America is SUPPOSE to stand for. Don't give me that shallow mess! We don't need to be focusing on who recites the pledge, until we can live what we've rehearsed. America is in a mess, and we must hate the bad to rebirth the good. TRUTH!

Tally girl...i understand a few of the points you make, however we need a change in this country. it's klike the bumper sticker says: if you are not outraged, you are not paying attention. and for the record i do support the troops, but i also have two young men. and I do not want to lose them to a war that can't be won !

L, seriously, you cant blame Republicans or the President for the cost of oil. 3 things are affecting the cost of oil. 1. Refifniing capacity, and you can blame our lack of refineries on democrats. 2. China's demand as a growing nation. For this you can blame Bill Clinton and his global economy. 3. The strength of the dollar, and this is what should scare the hell out of eveyone. If isnt costing Europeans more for Gasoline or Chinese etc., this we can blame ourselves for, for not working harder, for electing fools based on either race, geneder or their position on abortion. Anytime you vote for a candidate because of one issue, you screwed us over and should be ashamed of youerselves.

L, I'm a woman and I wouldn't vote for Hillary if she was the only person running for Pres. She's a moron! I'm sorry, I don't want socialized medicine so I can work hard everyday and give MORE of my money to the folks who want to sit home and collect a gov't check instead of earning it. I give plenty of my own personal money to charity to help people in need. She's all about helping people who SAY they are in need, but are perfectly capable. As for the war, ask any member of any armed force if they don't support the war and I bet you don't find one! It's amazing, we look down on Bush for the war, yet all of our service men and women are proud to be fighting this war, it would be nice if we could support them.

First of all you need to take the Rev. Wright out of the picture...he has said enough for a lifetime. Hillary is strong enough to lead this nation. it's too bad that there are still some men out there who will not vote for a woman, they would rather vote for Mccain...who wants the WAR to go on for 100 years. and he is only looking out for the RICH....I hope the americian MEN will wake up ! if Mccain gets in there you will see everything going sky high ! just remember Gas was 1.50 a gallon when Bush went into office...look at it now.

Awms, obviously you are one of the heard of African Americans who believe in the rhetoric and heressies of Pastors like Jermiah Wright. There is no trying to convince someone whose soul is already lost. Instead I have to say that CAMERAN is so off base that you insult the very culture you claim to have by calling everyone in Tallahassee Hillbillies. You have essentially raised your nose at us, making you an elitist just like your buddy Obama. If you are too good, please leave, we beg of you to return to which you have come. And try not to insult us on the way out, for at least we didnt show up in your hometown to insult you. Goodbye.
