Run to Vote Gears Up Voters at FAMU

Some of you may be too young to vote--but one group of kids knows how to still be a part of the general election. And, they're getting involved by running to get those who can vote to show up at the poles.

Run to Vote 2008 includes seven students and two teachers working together to register voters. Run to Vote's leaders say-- for each person who signs up or registers--one of the team members will run a quarter mile.

Ian Morris, a Run to Vote spokesperson said, "Running is something we can all do and it's something that we all enjoy doing, but we can't vote because we're either 15 or 16, so running is our way of showing that we're willing to sweat for you, if you're willing to register to vote."

Run to Vote 2008 is in Tallahassee wed. 6/18 tonight--but team members aren't staying long. They say they are traveling to 48 states in all. You can learn more about Run to Vote by clicking the convenient link below.
