Credit Crunch Won't Prevent Florida Residents From Getting Home Loans

Charlie Crist spent the day meeting with bank officials. The Florida Governor has been assured that Floridians will still be able to get home loans despite the recent credit crunch.

A Bank of America executive told Crist that his bank is prepared to restructure about 80,000 troubled mortgages in the Sunshine State. That would help those homeowners avoid foreclosure on their properties.

Crist said Florida residents should be able to find great bargains in real estate due to the amount of property on the market.
