Kids voting also kicked off in Leon County, as parents brought their youngsters out with them to the polls.

Leon county Kids Voting volunteers say there are 104 precincts with kids voting boxes in Leon County.

Kids could circle in their choices for this year's general election on printed voting ballots with their parents help.

Kids Voting officials say they will run the kids polls until 7 o'clock when all the polls close.

Volunteers will then bring the boxes back to Hopping Green & Sam's law firm downtown to be tallied up.

"Most of the counting will go on between 7 and 10 this evening. So, hopefully by around 10 O'clock we should have all of the votes tallied," said Angela Morrisonuhland, Former Chair of Kids Voting in Leon County.

Kids Voting Organizers say they hope to get at least fifty volunteers to help tally up the ballots tonight.

Volunteers say they expect to count about 10,000 student's votes in Leon County.

Supervisors for the organization say the program is a great way for kids to experience the process of voting, while learning with their families.
