Thomas County Voter Turnout

Voters lined up early at the polls in Thomas County hoping to beat some of the long lines predicted today.

Voting officials say some voters were waiting in line an hour before the polls opened this morning at 7am.

So far, election workers say everything has been running smoothly and there have been no reports of any serious problems.

Out of the 25,000 registered voters in Thomas County election officials say close to 15,000 are left to cast their ballot today.
