Richardson and her supporters gathered at Andrew's downtown, while Desmond and his camp watched at a close friend's house and each candidate was very excited to be a part of such a historic election.
Ashenafi Richardson said, "I'm going to keep the pledge that I made to them, to work very hard, to be fair, to treat everyone that comes into court with respect and dignity and to rule impartially and fairly."
Sean Desmond said, "One of the best experiences I've had in my entire life. I mean, the meeting people, knocking on doors, you know, relating to people I never would have before, has just been unbelievable."
Ashenafi-Richardson is a graduate of the FSU College of Law, she was president of the Tallahassee Bar Association--and she will leave her current career as an attorney to become a Judge.
