Possible Roadblocks For Biomass Plant

A biomass plant poised to get a building permit may now have a few roadblocks in the way.
Three citizen petitions have been filed with the state opposing a biomass plant being built on the south side of Tallahassee.
The company Biomass, Gas and Electric... also known as B-G and E... requested the permits, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection announced about two weeks ago that it expected to grant the permit.
D-E-P representatives say they are currently reviewing the three petitions to determine whether they meet legal requirements... and whether a hearing will be granted to the petitioners.
The petitioners include Leon County Commissioner Bill Proctor, Tallahassee residents Anita and Morris Davis and Tallahassee resident John Gibby.
You can find copies of the petitions and other letters of concern on the following Florida Department of Environmental Protection website:
www.dep.state.fl.us/Air/permitting/construction/tallahassee.htm. You can find a link to that website below.

Thank you Anita Davis, Bill Proctor, and John Gibby for standing up for the rest of us and for the air we breathe. We don't need something like this in Tallahassee, or probably anywhere else. how did our area get picked for this deal anyway? I smell some dirty politics involved in this.
