Tuesday several public officials were sworn into office. The Leon County School Board welcomed one new member and a couple of familiar faces.
The Superintendent of Leon County Schools Jackie Pons took the oath Tuesday night... returning to the post without opposition in an election.
And Dee Crumpler also re-assumed his seat on the school board after winning against challenger Diane Williams-Cox.
The newcomer to the board is Forrest Van Camp.
"I feel excited today after having spend almost 40 years in education and participated in so many activities to actually be able to serve on the school board and represent the people of district one - it's a great day. And I sort of feel like I'm young again in education," says Van Camp.
Judge Kevin Davey administered the oaths of office at Tuesday night's school board meeting in Tallahassee.
