Sansom Quits College Post

Florida House Speaker Ray Sansom is resigning from the job he holds at Northwest Florida State College.

Today Sansom said the controversy over his $110,000 part-time job there was a distraction from his main job, running the Florida House.

Sansom steered 25-million dollars to the school last year before he was hired as an administrator there.

Sansom should also be ousted from the job he now holds in the Legislature.

Well, it seems he did understand that mixing his position in state government and the money he got for the college AND a private airplane hanger would present an appearance of conflict of interest. He did what he needed to do - give up one job or the other,,too bad he didn`t choose to leave the Legislature.

I can't believe he quit. It's all because of the jealous immature FL Democrats. There was nothing 'controversial' about this part time position. FL Dems always have to find something to gripe about. Well I hope you're happy FL Dems.
