MIAMI (AP) — The wife of Vice President Joe Biden is in Miami to discuss higher education.
Dr. Jill Biden joins U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan Friday for a panel discussion at Miami Dade College. They will address the role of community colleges in providing quality education and revitalizing the economy.
Biden teaches English at a community college in the Washington area. She holds two master's degrees in English and reading and earned a doctorate in education in 2007. Her dissertation focused on how to retain students in community colleges.
Meanwhile, Vice President Joe Biden will be at the Miami Police Department promoting the federal stimulus bill's funding of law enforcement.
