TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Gov. Charlie Crist has removed a Panhandle college president charged along with former House Speaker Ray Sansom from the board of directors of Workforce Florida.
The 45-member board oversees various programs for unemployed Floridians.
Northwest Florida State College President Bob Richburg was indicted this month with Sansom on third-degree felony misconduct and perjury charges.
Richburg hired Sansom for a $110,000-a-year job on the same day he became speaker in November. The grand jury accused Sansom of misusing his position to benefit the Panhandle college.
