Lawmakers Suspend Property Tax Negotiations

Senate President Ken Pruitt says the Legislature will return in June to deal with Gov. Charlie Crist's demand to reduce property taxes.

Lawmakers have not been able to come to an agreement on plans offered by the House, Senate and Crist. Pruitt says he and House Speaker Marco Rubio are suspending their negotiations.

They say the special session is tentatively scheduled for June
12-22.
