It was a big night at the polls for candidates vying for a top Senate seat, but you may not know it by looking at the voter turnout.
Florida's Senate District 3, recently vacated by Nancy Argenziano, is a widespread area touching down in parts of 13 counties. Of those counties, only 12 percent of residents cast their vote.
Three Republicans and two Democrats are vying to face off in the June 26 general election.
Unofficial results show Charles Dean takes the lead for the Republicans with 45 percent of the vote. On the Democrat side, Suzan Franks comes out on top with nearly 65 percent of the vote.
