There's a new investigation targeting Tallahassee's mayor.
A spokeswoman for the Florida Bar confirms that organization is investigating Mayor John Marks.
The mayor is a practicing attorney.
Local businessman Erwin Jackson, who filed the complaint, received a letter from the bar dated April 10th.
It says Jackson's complaint has been removed from monitor status and is being investigated.
Jackson says the change in status is due to the mayor's public comments conflicting with sworn testimony in a recent ethics case.
The mayor was cleared of wrongdoing in that case.
Jackson also says Florida Bar investigators have requested a full transcript of the ethics case hearing.
Mayor Marks declined comment.
