TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- High school students in 10th grade this year won't have to pass Algebra II in order to graduate.

The Florida Legislature on Thursday passed a bill to clear up a glitch from last year's overhaul of high school graduation standards.

Last year, legislators eliminated the Algebra II requirement for high school graduation. But the bill did not include those students who had entered high school during the 2012-13 school year.

The measure (HB 7031) now headed to Gov. Rick Scott would include those students.

The bill also repeals more than 30 mentions of Common Core State Standards that were placed into state law just a year ago.
