[UPDATE] Tallahassee, FL - September 17, 2012 5:30

George Prescott Bush, the son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, is touring the Sunshine State.

The tour bus stopped here near the "Unconquered Statue" at FSU. He and the organization, Maverick Pac, are trying to get young professionals involved and empower the next generation of Republican leaders as the 2012 election approaches.

"I'm casting my vote for Romney/Paul in November." FSU Freshman Lauren Schenone says she was excited to meet George P. Bush, but it was the message behind his visit that really intrigued her.

"If we want programs like Social Security and Medicare to be sustainable when my generation will need them, there has to be a change and that change is going to be Romney/Ryan to redirect the course of this country."

Bush held a rally at FSU Monday morning as part of the 2012 Maverick PAC Florida Bus Tour.

MavPAC is a political action committee that is engaging next generation Republican leaders.

Student Republicans at FSU say it's important for them to get involved in the upcoming presidential election.

"We make up one of the largest voting populations in the United States. Aside from that, the great thing about students is that not only are we educated, we want to be educated about all of the issues that are going on."

Maverick PAC's main goals also include establishing a national network of conservative young professionals.

After all, as an American, it's our inherant right to vote.
